What is Swivel chair base(chair frames)?

A chair base(chair frames) is the system of support underneath the seat of a chair. 

Swivel chair bases(swivel chair frame),in particular, are the bases for chairs that can be turned or swiveled around. A swivel chair base (swivel chair frame) typically consists of a central column, from which several spokes extend to support the seat. The base may be made from a variety of materials including metal, wood, and plastic. Swivel chair bases generally include a revolving mechanism below the seat so that it can swivel around.

Chair base(chair frames) typically can be divided into six categories based on design shape: 3 leg base, 4 star base, 5 star chair base, 6 leg base,chair round base:

• The 3 Leg Base is usually made of lightweight steel or plastic, and is well-suited for chairs of medium-to-heavy weight. Pros include lightweight, durability, reasonable budget pricing, and it can generally fit any style of chair. Cons include sometimes it can be top-heavy, and may be slightly unstable.
• The 4 Star Base is durable and attractive, and is generally made of steel or aluminum. It is designed to provide stability for heavier chairs, or chairs used in commercial settings. Pros include the stability it provides, the attractive aesthetic, and its ability to fit a wide variety of chairs. Cons include that they tend to be more expensive than other options, and may be too heavy for lighter chairs.
• 5 Star Chair Base are the widest and most stable type of swivel chair base. The five spoke meet at a common point, providing excellent weight support and stability for heavy chairs up to 200kg.and is designed to provide maximum stability for chairs. Pros include its ability to support a heavier weight, its stylish look. Cons include that it is cost more than other chair base, and its weight may be too much for lighter chairs.   
• The main advantages of 6 leg base are increased stability, increased weight capacity, and improved movement during swiveling. The main disadvantages are that 6-leg bases take up more space than other designs, they can be more expensive, and may not fit some furniture styles.
• The Chair Round Base is the best option for smaller chairs or stools that don't require as much stability and support. It's also relatively easy to move around.Its round shape offers a modern feel.it provides a lower center of gravity and less stability compared to other types of chair bases.This chair round base may not offer enough stability and support for heavier persons or bigger chairs.

By materials composition

Chair base(chair frames) can be divided into 3 types according to material: aluminum Chair base(chair frames), iron Chair base(chair frames), and nylon Chair base(chair frames).

• Fine polishing is also an option for a chic, modern look. It's easy to install directly into chairs, and it gives a smooth, sleek finish.
• Powder coated custom color is a great choice if you need an exact match for your chairs. The powder-coating gives an additional layer of protection against rust and corrosion, assuring that it will look great for years to come.
• Heat transfer surface treatment for chair bases is a process that involves heating and pressing a coating material onto the surface of the chair base. This coating can be applied to a variety of chair bases and provides a hard-wearing layer that is resistant to marks and stains. It also helps to prevent corrosion and can help to prolong the life of the chair base. This treatment is popular in the hospitality industry, where it is used to keep chair bases looking immaculate for long periods of time.

• The advantages of aluminum Chair base(chair frames) are lightweight, strong tolerance, and not easily deformable in high temperatures or humid environments. The downside is that the price is relatively expensive.

.Type 2:Iron Chair base(Iron chair frames)

Iron Chair base(Iron chair frames) typically have 2 surface treatments: chromed,Powder-coated. They are strong and have high load-bearing capacity. However, they are relatively heavy and more brittle than aluminum alloy. They might require welding and poor processing may cause rusting. Moreover, the load-bearing capacity may be low if the material is too thin.

.Type 3:Nylon Chair base(Plastic chair frames)

Nylon Chair base(Plastic chair frames) are a kind of plastic which is stronger than ordinary plastic. There are 2 surface treatments: raw color and painting. The advantages of this nylon Chair base(Plastic chair frames)are that it's inexpensive, light weight, and has great ductility which means it won't scratch the floor. The downsides are that it's more prone to wear and tear, and has a shorter lifetime compared to other materials.

For people with heavier weights, steel or aluminum alloy Chair base(chair frames) are the best choice. Nylon Chair base(chair frames) are lighter and won't hurt the bottom plate, but there is risk of side overturning with heavier weights. Steel and aluminum alloy Chair base(chair frames)  have better load bearing capacity, however, the price tends to be more expensive. If your weight is not too heavy, all of them are good options.

But i still prefer aluminum alloy since metal iron Chair base(chair frames)  may get rusty if the manufacturer doesn't handle them properly.
